Replacing the battery on the phone without triggering the "unoriginal battery" error message is possible with the new BMS flex strip battery.
This maintains compatibility with the Battery Management System (BMS) of the original battery.
You only need to connect the original BMS strip to the battery's BMS flex strip.

Installation Instructions:

1. Turn off the mobile device.


2. Remove the display module from the mobile device.


3. Disconnect the original battery connector from the motherboard and remove the battery from the device.


4. Remove the black adhesive from the base of the original battery to access the BMS flex strip.


5. Use a thin, sharp tool (ceramic scissors or blades) to cut the connections between the BMS flex strip and the original battery (the metal parts). Do not use non-ceramic tools to avoid short circuits. Be careful not to puncture the battery cell or cut the BMS flex strip.
   


6. Do not dispose of the battery. Take it to a specialized battery collection center.


7. Place the yellow adhesive tape (included in the package) on the back of the BMS flex tape. Remove the protective film and fix it on the lower part (original position of the BMS flex tape) of the new battery. Press firmly to ensure a proper grip.
 

8. Bend the FPC connector of the BMS flex strip, orienting it to the corresponding FPC connector on the new battery.


9. Firmly connect the two FPC connectors (between the BMS flex strip from the original battery and the BMS flex strip from the new battery).


10. Use the original black adhesive to cover the BMS flex tape.


11. Connect the battery connector to the motherboard of the mobile device.


12. Do not turn on the mobile device using the power button.


13. Connect the device to a power source using a charging cable and let it turn on automatically.


14. Disconnect the device from the power source.


15. Press and hold the power button to turn off the device completely.


16. Restart the device by pressing the power button.


17. Check if the battery has been calibrated correctly by checking the health settings in the mobile device menu.


18. If no errors appear, turn off the device and proceed to fix the battery according to the normal procedure.

Attention: Once the battery was installed and the system updated, the details are as follows: 

1. No "unknow parts" pop-up message
2. No repair record in "repair assistant"

Nonetheless, the battery health will reflect the status of the old battery, requiring users to flash the system to reset the battery health to 100%.
If the battery health isn't important to you, you don't need to do anything.

Installation instructions for iOS 18.01
The default health of the decoding battery is 100% and the number of cycles is 0.
If the battery health is changed in iOS 18.01 (version 17.4 or later), it will not be immediately queried on the phone.
To update the battery health status to your phone immediately,By flashing or diagnosing the batteryThis can only be achieved by the following method. The operation method is as follows:

A.Flash the device

A1: As shown in the above picture: the original battery protection board plus the decoded battery, the phone still shows 83%, 3Utool shows 100% cycle 40 times. At this time, you need to flash the phone to update the health of the phone.

A2: Follow the steps shown in the picture above to flash the phone. This will clear all information on your phone, so please remember to back up all data (including account information) first.

A3: During the flashing process, there is a high probability that the system will freeze at 6% and report the error: Unable to exit Restore Mode. The reason is due to a flashing error with 3Utool.

A4: Please manually switch your phone to recovery mode 

1. Short press the volume + button, short press the volume - button, and then long press the power button until the Apple logo disappears and the phone restarts and displays the connection to computer icon.
2. Unplug the data cable, remove the battery, reinstall the battery, and connect the data cable, and then follow the steps in the figure to re-flash the device.
